What’s Happening?

As announced in late Q2, we’re excited to share more details around the Target Price field and how it can benefit you. We are strengthening the weight this factor has when considering which products to schedule.

Tophatter’s scheduling system will consider past performance relative to the target price you have entered. The system will prefer a product where the performance is above your stated target price. To protect your profitability, if a product’s performance is consistently below its target, it will be scheduled less, or possibly not at all.

If you are concerned around the profitability of a product, the main lever and action to take is adjust your target price. This will be a much more effective way of expressing dissatisfaction with performance, than disabling or reducing the quantity available for a given product.

What should you do?

Ensure all of your product listings have an accurate and competitive target price listed. We’ll be making this adjustment to scheduling within the next few days. Sellers who have updated their targets prices across all products will be able to benefit from this update.
