Do you devour stories that involve corporate sabotage? Are your favorite characters morally compromised and shockingly ambitious? If you answered yes to any of these, then a) you’ve probably watched all of “Billions” and b) you’re almost guaranteed to get hooked on “Follow the Money (Bedrag),” its Danish counterpart. Set in a world where the rich are seemingly unstoppable, social climbing is a dangerous game, and greed is everywhere, the financial thriller follows a group of people, from CEOs to car mechanics, who become inextricably linked by the pursuit of money.

Topic had the opportunity to pick the brains of Jeppe Gjervig Gram, director of “Follow the Money” (who also created beloved Nordic Noir classic “Borgen”), and star Esben Smed on their gripping series, which makes white-collar crime feel like a white-knuckle thriller. And what better way to get them to open up than by having director and actor talk directly to one another? The result? Priceless.
