Have you ever observed a sudden large increase in things like adrenaline during an exciting scenario, or possibly in corona cases, considering the preceding two years? How did you convey the same message to others?

“There was a sudden surge in my adrenaline level when it was my turn to deliver the speech.” or “I have seen a high surge in corona cases in the previous two weeks.” Was it something along these lines? If you answered yes, then you must reconsider your statement.

So, what’s the proper way to phrase it?

The term “surge” refers to a large increase in a short period of time (in something). As a result, you don’t need to use the words ‘high’ or ‘sudden’ before it in a statement. It would be redundant to write these words to describe the surge again.
