In an ongoing effort to increase our base of support — meaning Torontonians who would welcome more homes in more neighbourhoods — we’ve launched our first social media ad campaign.

We produced a 1-minute video introducing viewers to a high level explanation of how Toronto’s Official Plan and Zoning By-Law make it effectively impossible to build enough new housing to accommodate our growing population and new household formation.

This video, bolstered by a budget of just over $300 now, has been viewed well over 20,000 times on Facebook and Instagram.

We’re not marketing experts, but we’re learning quickly, and would consider this to have been a very successful experiment. We’re going to produce and promote more videos addressing a broader range of topics, including explainer videos on topics like filtering, floor space indices, and more.

To help us get our message out, please consider supporting us at patreon.com/torontohousingmatters.com.

If we could get 20,000 views out of a $300 ad placement, just imagine what we could do with $3,000.
