Timothy Mason’s Adventures in The Grand Taosan Galactic Empire.

Everyone agreed it was a brave thing to do, an actual act of courage. Everyone also agreed that Mr. Mason was perhaps the last one you’d expect to do something like that. Until that day, his neighbors thought of him as a grumpy old man. He was in excellent shape at the age of One Hundred and Twenty. He retired only eight months ago and was still active, so he knew he was capable of the deed. Timothy was sitting on his patio that morning with a cup of hot tea. That is how he knew he was getting old. Tea. His bowels these days just couldn’t handle a hot, black cup of coffee this early in the morning any longer. The neighbor boy was dressed in his Galactic troopers camouflage, visiting home before heading back to service. The scene set Mr. Mason reminiscing about his time in Space Fleet. Some hundred years ago, he had reported for induction into the Taosan Military, Space Fleet.

“Timothy Mason!” The Insectoid from the planet Broslin called out.
