So one of the wildest transfer windows of all time came to end. By looking at the year and the previous, we shouldn’t have been surprised by anything, but the summer transfer window of 2020 pretty much mad sure to make all the football/soccer fans intrigued and surprised. From Thiago to Bale To Suarez To Thiago Silva To Gunnersaurus, the transfer window sure took the FIFA Career mode way. Some transfers out of this wild pack made some of the biggest impacts and some have the potential to. So let's dive in and review some of the best signings of the window for the clubs and for the respective players.

James Rodriguez :

This window has marked one of the biggest resurrections of this decade of one of the biggest prospects in football, “James Rodriguez”. Everton bought him for free from Real Madrid, where he warmed the bench almost all the 19–20 season, even before that he had a lackluster season in Munich where he was on loan. When it all seemed that one player who was poised to be one of the best future stars in 2014 became an afterthought. In came Carlo Ancelotti brought him to Merseyside and since then he has been the most pivotal player in transforming Everton into one of the most beautiful teams to watch.

Leroy Sane :

In June, Bayern Munich announced the signing of German Winger Leroy Sane from Manchester City in deal worth 45 million with add-ons taking the deal upto 60 Million. With the depth in attacking options at Manchester City and recent form of Raheem Sterling, pretty much Pep and Sane, both knew that maybe Sane will fare better somewhere, where he’ll be definite starter. In came Bayern, Sane was interested and so he signed with the UCL winners. Bayern needed some serious replacements for Ribery and Robben, and Sane fits into that subject perfectly, with sheer pace and ice cold finishing. He made his debut in Bayern’s 8-0 win over Schalke, where he scored and assisted forming a formidable pair with Gnabry and pretty everyone knew this is the start of something truly special for the player and the club.

Thomas Partey :

Gunners have been crying for something to shout about for a while now. After Arsene Wenger’s decline and post his exit, it’s really been rough for the club, the fans and the players connected to the club. In came former Arsenal player Mikel Arteta, who changed a lot of things, changing the atmosphere in locker-room, being the first one among those. After having a decent run of form since the restart of the season, gunners signed Thomas Partey right on the deadline day after they failed to sign Auoar. They activated the 45 Million release clause. They needed some necessary reinforcements in midfield after they stabilized their attack with Aubameyang extending his stay and youngsters like Nketiah and Saka stepping up. Arsenal was already looking like they’re finally on the right path and the signing of Partey has only made those things much clearer. #NoThomasNoPartey.

Alex Telles :

Much like Arsenal, Manchester United, one of the most decorated clubs in the world has also been on a decline for the past decade after the departure of Sir Alex Fergusen. If we look at Manchester United, arguably most of the positions require changes and depths induction and it was clear by this transfer window, that the board isn’t willing to go out there in high bidding wars to sign world class talents like Jadon Sancho or Thiago. Left Back position is a better equipped position than the rest with Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams but Alex Telles’ signing is bound to add that X-Factor and various combination options. Telles has been impressive in Portugal throughout his run at Porto, he’s fantastic in the final third, he can shoot as well defend effectively and this certainly is a very useful signing for Ole and you gotta have a Brazilian in your team.

Gareth Bale :

Once Poised as a future Balon D’or Winner, the decline of Gareth Bale is something, even some non-football watchers are familiar with. From scoring an overhead kick in UCL Finals to dozing off on the bench. Real Madrid and Gareth Bale, both of them needed to be separated from each other but his hefty wages stood in the way. Then in 2020, Perez and Daniel Levy found a way, Spurs needed a forward and Bale wanted out, was there a better place to go for him? Spurs understand Mourinho have looked impressive and they managed to loan out a player who arguably is still one of the best if he’s motivated enough and there’s no denying the fact that he returns to London is bound to be a success and this time, who knows maybe spurs can end their trophy drought.
