Totle Tutorial I: Connecting Totle and your MetaMask Wallet

There are a number of ways you can connect to Totle and start trading, including:

• MetaMask
• Trezor Hardware Wallet (see full instructions)
• Ledger Hardware Wallet (see full instructions)
• Coinbase Wallet App (formerly Toshi, see full instructions)
• Trust Wallet (see full instructions)

Connecting to the Totle WebApp via your MetaMask Wallet:

Don’t have MetaMask? Download it here (always make sure to navigate to the official MetaMask site, and beware of phishing sites)

1. Add the Chrome Extension

Add the Chrome Extension and accept the terms, privacy and phishing notices. We’ve used the legacy version of MetaMask here, but you can also use the updated version.

2. Create a password

If you are a new user it will ask you to create a password, or you can import a previously created wallet using your seed phrase.

3. Save your seed phrase

Write this phrase on a piece of paper and store in a secure location. If you want even more security, write it down on multiple pieces of paper and store each in 2–3 different locations.

4. Click on the Connect to MetaMask button

If prompted via the extension, enter your password

5. You’re now ready to start trading on Totle!

*NOTE To interact with decentralized applications like Totle using MetaMask, you’ll need Ethereum in your wallet.

To log out, simply close the browser window or ‘Exit to Totle’ in the address dropdown menu.
