2. Have a clear navigation

Many visitors will leave your website if they are having trouble with navigation and finding information they're looking for. It's important to realise that people don't want to waste their time with thinking and looking for the correct buttons to click on. They want to move intuitive without wasting their precious time.

There are many quality sites that have a clear navigation system, where visitors can easily find their way. A great example is Apple.com website that has all the main product categories in the upper menu.

3. Improve website load time

How many times do you bounce from a website when it takes longer than normal to load? Nowadays, people don't want to wait, they want everything immediately. So, improving your website load time is another important step that you can't ignore.

Google also take this into a consideration in its evaluation algorithm (SEO score).

4. Don't forget to have a clear CTA, too

What is CTA? “Call-to-action” is — usually — a button that leads visitors to a certain action — it can be a button that adds a product to the shopping bag, button for newsletters signup, etc.

It should always be clear and easy to find. It is also good to consider the colour and form of the button. The best way is to test it on an A/B test model, to find out what your target audience likes best.

Prepare for them more interesting content — create a short video or audio record, which they can listen to and learn new things. Adding multimedia to your website, especially your homepage, is a popular way to increase the time that visitors are spending on your site.

6. Don't forget internal links

You can publish create and publish an amazing blog article, but if you won't have internal links your visitors will read just this one article and then leave (even if the topic interests them). Internal links significantly increase page views and will drive visitors deeper into the website. So, drive them on other pages where you want to provide them more information on similar topics.
