Apple Event 2018: Apple unveiled 3 new iPhone X models
Apple Inc. launched several new products on Wednesday during the company’s biggest event of the year (#AppleSpecialEvent). Was it really special?
Apple Event started with a Mission Impossible-themed comedy sketch:
After this intro video, Apple CEO Tim Cook stepped onstage. In his keynote speech, he was talking about how Apple and all its products affect people's lives around the world, how their technology becomes more personal and Apple Stores become an important part of community — more than 500 million people visit the Apple store each year. Tim Cook also announced that “iOS is not just the world's most advanced mobile operating system, it is the most personal”.
Apple Watch Series 4: new design, new features
The first big announcement at Apple’s September 2018 event was Apple Watch Series 4. Tim also reminded us of the fact that the Apple Watch is the world’s best-selling watch, but also the best smartwatch currently available.

The size of the Apple Watch display is now bigger — 40 and 44mm — but without noticeably increasing the size of the case or compromising the battery life. They have also designed a brand new watch face with up to 8 complications that really brings them to life. You can now customize it with the things you care about. With Apple Watch Series 4, the mechanism of the digital crown has been also totally re-engineered. “Haptic feedback now delivers a precise, click-like feel as you scroll.”
The vision of new Apple Watch Series 4 is to take care about your health and inspire you to live a healthier life. The company has upgraded the accelerometer and gyroscope, so now the watch can detect when you’ve fallen over, and can deliver an alert that lets you initiate an emergency call. Apple Watch Series 4 also monitors your heart rate and lets you know if it detects something of concern — too low heart rate, or irregular heart rhytm.
This new Apple Watch has the ability to let you take an electrocardiogram (ECG) in just 30 seconds — letting you check the electrical signals your heart produces, tracking its rhythm. You can also share this data with your doctor. Amazing, right?
The new Apple Watch starts at $399 (at 429€ in Europe), and comes in Silver, Black, and Gold. Pre-orders start on Friday, with in-store available expected to start on September 21.

Whould you like to have an iPhone with the biggest battery ever? The new iPhone Xs gets you up to 30 minutes longer in your day than the iPhone X and with iPhone Xs Max, you get an hour and a half more than iPhone X.
One of new features is also the Dual-SIM capability. It allows you to have two numbers in a single smartphone because it consists of one physical SIM card slot and one eSIM slot.
New iPhones have even safer and faster Face ID recognition. This feature uses machine learning to detect any changes — put on a hat or sunglasses and Face ID will recognize you. So now, you can just unlock your smartphone, but also automatically sign in to your apps or pay at Apple Pay.
The most advanced LCD display in the new iPhone Xr
The new iPhone Xr comes in different colors (white, black, blue, yellow, red) and has a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display. What does it mean? Its innovative design makes it possible to stretch the entire smartphone display to the corners, so you can see the whole image in clear and high-quality colors. It is so far the most advanced LCD display in the iPhone history.
All features of the new iPhone Xr are the same as the iPhone Xs and Xs Max. The main difference is Liquid Retina LCD display and color variations that are really new.
