Bill Carson Joins Touchdown Ventures

We are excited to announce that Bill Carson has joined Touchdown as our newest Venture Advisor.

In his new role, Bill will support management of existing corporate VC funds as well as assist Touchdown’s business development activities for identifying and launching new funds. Bill brings 25+ years of venture capital investing and operating experience to the Touchdown team.

Prior to joining Touchdown, Bill was a Partner at Hudson Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm out of New York City. Bill focused primarily on B2B investments in fintech, enterprise software, cybersecurity, mobile, and advertising, among other sectors.

Prior to joining Hudson Ventures, Bill spent 15 years at Citigroup where he was a Managing Director. Bill started and ran Citigroup’s first corporate venture fund called Citigroup Strategic Investment Fund. Bill also ran M&A for the bank. Bill joined Citigroup in 1987 after graduating from business school.

More recently, Bill held CFO positions at Crystal Computing Corporation (sold to LTN Global) and Hurdl Corporation. Bill also held VP Finance positions at OPĀQ Networks (sold to Fortinet) and Princeton Infrared Technologies.

Bill holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Bill is based in Philadelphia and we are truly happy to welcome him to the team!
