I was about to fall asleep.

To help myself doze off, I started reading 7 Habits Of Effective People — a book that isn’t supposed to stimulate your brain activity, of course, and helps every average person fall asleep.

The clocks showed 11 PM.

My girlfriend was out of town, and I was all alone.

I was lying on my back, book right in front of me. Suddenly I noticed that some letters in the sentence I was reading looked funny to me.

My gaze focused on the letters, and I examined the little details: ink on the paper, the dust on the book cover.

All the sounds coming from the outside and the neighbors’ apartments became very clear.

I could probably hear a mosquito whisper.

Wow, I am superman

But I wasn’t.

It felt like I somebody punched me in the face with a bag full of cotton.

Blood rushed to my cheeks. My heart started racing. I could feel a cold drop of sweat on my forehead. I couldn’t breathe. My thoughts went 100 miles per hour. The world around me started spinning.
