This was going to be a trip to Battersea Park, but I had a smaller amount of time today, and the walk to the park had much more to see than I imagined.

There’s the Power Station.

It used to be a coal-fired power station, and was actually built from two power stations, completed in 1955.

One of them was decommissioned in 1975 and the other in 2007.

It supplied a fifth of London’s power, supplying the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace.

A Londoner showing you London. I explore a little bit at a time, taking in some of the history, mixing in a few stories about myself.
