It’s quite amazing to think we have this park right next to the busy city centre.

Kings Park is 400 hectares of protected bushland overlooking the Swan River and is visited by nearly six million people each year.

The park displays over 3,000 species of the State’s unique flora and is a popular place for picnics, walking and ceremonial events.

Where I was standing to take the photo above was the entrance to the park. To the left of the photo is the city centre so you can see how close the park is to the hustle and bustle of the city.

To the right of the photo below is South Perth, which I wrote about in my previous post.
