The Mysore Palace was built between 1897 and 1912 in Indo-Sarcenic style. It is a sight to behold by day and by night.

Every Sunday, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. the Mysore Palace is aglow with thousands of light bulbs. By day, the palace is grand and beautiful. By night, it takes on a magical and mystical hue.

I’ve seen the palace with lights on many times. But I can’t get enough. With the lighting on, the palace is stunning, royal, and resplendent. I could go on with words to describe how amazing the sight is. But I’ll let the photos do the talking.

Ok, I’ll admit the photo does not do any justice at all to the actual visual. You have to stand there and stare. That should explain the number of people in front of the palace. It is hard to get a people-free shot. Everyone wants a moment or ten to stare at this regal architectural marvel.
