I found three surprising places in Romania, fairytale, that take you to distant, exotic destinations. If you arrive here, you will have the feeling that you are in Bali, not in Romania.

Cherry Vintage Home

Where? Viforâta, Dâmbovița county, 7.2 kilometers from Târgoviște.

A unique accommodation, with an exotic vibe, located close to Bucharest: Cherry Vintage Home, a location with a special energy, which pleasantly surprised us.

You enter a world detached from everyday life, arranged with attention to detail, so that your worries are erased from your mind. From the welcoming interior, your eyes will be drawn to the turquoise of the Balinese-style pool, surrounded by a small bamboo plantation, which will inevitably take you to the island paradise in Indonesia.

There are 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a generous living room, which can accommodate 5 tourists. Please note: the pool is not heated.

You already know about us that we like to travel, but we also like quiet mornings when we enjoy a good coffee in a fairytale landscape. Nothing compares to the feeling at the beginning of the day when, over a hot cup of coffee, we make our travel plans.

Crystal Loft Garden

Where? Viforâta, Dâmbovița, 8 km from Târgoviște.

Near the first location, there is an ingenious conservatory where you can stay: the Crystal Loft Garden. There are plants everywhere, from bananas to palm trees, everything is glass and you can admire the stars right from your bed.

The indoor shower, the generous swimming pool, decorated with sunbeds and umbrellas just like in Bali, but also the decor elements specific to Balinese culture, will certainly take you to an exotic place, far away. Indoor plants purify the air, but they also act as natural insulation, maintaining a constant temperature. It is a suitable place for romantics, 2 people can stay here.

Tourist attractions in Targoviste:

  • Chindia Tower;
  • The Royal Court of Targoviste;
  • Chindia Park;
  • Dealu Monastery;
  • Art Museum;
  • Museum of Old Romanian Printing and Books;
  • Stela Monastery;
  • The National Museum of the Romanian Police.

How do you get there ?

From Bucharest, it is around 80 kilometers and you can reach it on DN7 and DN 71.

Green Forest Germin

Where? Bucea, Negreni, Cluj county

Do you want a special, isolated place, away from everything and everyone, where it’s just you? What could be nicer than sitting in the heart of the forest and relaxing in the warm water pool with a dreamy view of the mountains?

Another fairytale place, where we keep coming back, is Green Forest Ghermin, a location in the heart of the Apuseni Mountains.

Imagine what it would be like to wake up here in the morning and drink your coffee outside to the sound of the birds! The interior is mostly made of wood, in the spirit of the area. There are five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a generous living room, fully equipped kitchen. The capacity of the location is 12 people.

Tourist attractions in the area

  • From the cottage you can explore the superb waterfalls on the Apusenilor Road: Iadolina Waterfall, Săritoarea Ieduțului Waterfall, Vălul Bridesei Waterfall from Valea Iadului, Miss Waterfall.
  • Stâna de Vale resort;
  • Octavian Goga Memorial Museum in Ciucea;
  • Horea’s Fountain and House;
  • Bologa Fortress from Poieni;
  • The wooden church from Bucea, 1791;
  • Izvoarele Barcăului waterfall.

How do you get there?

From Cluj, it is about 84 kilometers and can be reached via the Huedin, Poieni, Ciucea route, the distance from Negreni to Oradea is about the same, an hour and 30 minutes drive, on the E 60, Vadu Crișului — Bucea. The last kilometers are unpaved, but they are in good condition, you can even come with a small car.

We wish you inspiring travels!
