The Great Canadian Boycott of America
Donald Trump doesn’t need us. Alrighty then
Canada is a quiet country a land of peaceful people. We mainly keep to ourselves. We don’t start wars and are proud of our home despite its shortfalls.
Canada Decides Its Own Fate, Mr. America
We have elections like everyone else and will decide the direction that our country moves in this fall. Many in Canada don’t like Prime Minister Trudeau, who is on his way out anyway and a new Liberal leader will take his place before elections.
President Donald Trump thinks he can bully this country as well as Mexico and any other country that doesn’t bend to what he wants. It’s kind of like the king of England back in the day. You know, the king that the American colonists fought to gain their freedom?
That king
It’s funny that America is now embracing that imperialistic mindset. He declared that this country should become the 51 state of the USA.
For reasons
Panama, Greenland, and Mexico are also on his shit list. I’m sure he’ll find others shortly.
The Canadian Boycott
Canadians spend a lot in the USA with trips across the border and to warmer states like Florida and Arizona in the winter months. Now, many trios are canceled and winter homes are being sold. Out borders which are usually packed with Canadian cars heading to the US are seeing far less traffic.
American goods are deeply discounted in the stores as Canadians aren’t buying what they used to. Our businesses are slammed with orders for Canadian products.
A group on Facebook scrutinizes each and every product and looks for Canadian alternatives or buys from another country, just not the USA. After all, Trump doesn’t need us. I’m sure he won’t mind the loss in business, especially the billions our tourists bring to the American economy.
Trade War Escalations Inevitable
2025 will not be a good year for Canada, Mexico, or the USA. It will also impact other countries that get caught up in the insanity. There will be tariffs and counter tariffs and more threats.
At the end of the day, it will be normal people who just want to live life that are impacted the most. As the cost of goods rises and life gets more difficult, you’ll know who to blame.
It’s not Canada.
