Today, we burn through more money than ever before. We watch the stock market like salivating dogs waiting for that stock we picked to go up so we can cash in and finally live the good life we all crave.
We love our money like nothing else, and it shows in our actions and deeds. I see the homeless camps now growing near me. There are people living under the bridge by the hospital. I see people pushing carts at the mall.
Our local stores have moved items stolen from the store’s front and hidden them in the back. There’s more security everywhere now.
I see the workers building the unaffordable $650,000+ homes that no regular citizen will ever afford without extreme difficulty.
The desperation, the fear, and the hopelessness are felt by many. I cringe at the prices when I visit the grocery store. My wife jumps up and down with glee when she brings home something we need that she got for a cheap price.
We wait in anticipation to see if governments will finally lower interest rates.
