In this article, I will present my favorite top-10 Machine Learning YouTube Channels to follow in order to keep up with the current trends. The list of my favorite channels cover but not limited to the following topics:

  • Data Science
  • Machine Learning
  • Deep learning
  • Reinforcement Learning
  • Statistics
  • Probability
  • Python
  • Linear Algebra

✏️ Table of Contents

  • Jeremy Howard
  • DeepMind
  • Stanford University
  • MIT University
  • Deeplearning.ai
  • TensorFlow
  • Kaggle
  • PyData
  • Two Minute Papers
  • Artificial Intelligence — All in One
  • Bonus Video
  • Conclusion

👨‍💻 Jeremy Howard

Jeremy Howard is an Australian data scientist and entrepreneur. He is a founding researcher at fast.ai, a research institute dedicated to making Deep Learning more accessible. Prior to it, Howard was the President and Chief Scientist at Kaggle.

If you want to learn more about Jeremy Howard, check the links below:

My favorite Machine Learning playlist is:

Another useful YouTube Channel is that of Rachel Thomas, co-founder of fast.ai.

My favorite playlist is that of the NLP course:

🧠 DeepMind

As you have already understood, it is the official YouTube Channel of DeepMind. It’s a team of scientists, engineers, machine learning experts, and more, working together to advance state of the art in artificial intelligence. In 2014, DeepMind joined forces with Google to accelerate their work, while continuing to set their own research agenda. Some key programs are:

  • Learned to diagnose eye diseases as effectively as the world’s top doctors
  • Save 30% of the energy used to keep data centers cool
  • Manage to predict the complex 3D shapes of proteins — which could one day transform how drugs are invented.

We are lucky that DeepMind decided to upload the lecture’s video of the course named: “Advanced Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning,” which is taught at UCL. Obviously, my favorite playlist is their lectures video:

Useful link to get a feeling of the course’s syllabus:

🏛 Stanford University

Stanford University has been at the forefront of innovation for nearly a century. The school has a tradition of pursuing multidisciplinary collaboration aimed at solving the most pressing global problems.

Stanford has two technical YouTube Channels:

Stanford has decided to upload the video of the lecture of five machine learning courses which I highly recommend to watch:

  • Artificial Intelligence: Principles and Techniques | Autumn 2019
  • Reinforcement Learning | Winter 2019
  • Deep Learning | Autumn 2018
  • Natural Language Processing with Deep Learning (Winter 2019)
  • Convolutional Neural Networks for Visual Recognition

🚀 For people who like video courses and want to kick-start a career in data science today, I highly recommend the below video course from Udacity:

📚 While for book lovers:

🏢 MIT University

Similarly, as Stanford University MIT has decided to upload the video of the lecture of three machine learning courses which I highly recommend to watch:

  • Introduction to Computer Science and Programming in Python
  • Introduction to Deep Learning
  • Deep Learning Lectures

🚀 Deeplearning.ai

It is the official deeplearning.ai Youtube channel where someone can find the videos from the Deep Learning specialization on Coursera. Andrew Ng is the Founder of deeplearning.ai and Coursera Deep Learning Specialization Course.

“Deep Learning is a superpower. With it, you can make a computer see, synthesize novel art, translate languages, render a medical diagnosis, or build pieces of a car that can drive itself. If that isn’t a superpower, I don’t know what is.” as stated by Andrew Ng.

The entire Specialization (5-course sequence) can be found here:

My favorite playlist is:

💻 TensorFlow

As the name suggests, this is the official TensorFlow YouTube channel. TensorFlow is an open-source machine learning framework for everyone. Follow the channel if you want to stay up to date with the latest TensorFlow news, tutorials, best practices, and more!

My favorite video is:

📊 Kaggle

As the name suggests, this is the official Kaggle YouTube channel. Kaggle, a subsidiary of Google LLC, is an online community of data scientists and machine learning practitioners. Kaggle allows users to find and publish data sets, explore and build models in a web-based data-science environment, work with other data scientists and machine learning engineers, and enter competitions to solve data science challenges.

My favorite playlist is:

🎤 PyData

PyData is a community for developers and users of open-source data tools. It organizes monthly meetups and annual conferences where experts give talks about the current data science trends. The talks given are recorded and uploaded to their YouTube channel.

My favorite video is:

🎬 Two Minute Papers

As the title implies, it is a YouTube Channel where it attempts to explain many interesting research works (not limited to data science), a couple of minutes at a time. You don’t need to be an expert at mathematics or have any kind of science degree to watch the videos.

My favorite video is:

🎱 Artificial Intelligence — All in One

A YouTube Channel which uploads video tutorials from different universities related to AI.

My favorite playlist is the video lectures of “Neural Networks for Machine Learning,” taught by Geoffrey Hinton.

🌟 Bonus Video

One of my favorite YouTube video to recap your knowledge on TensorFlow and deep learning is:

🤖 Conclusion
