UPDATE [11 May 2021]:

As many of our community members have pointed out, current gas prices are very high and may affect the upcoming TOWER Chest sale. We have therefore decided to postpone the first TOWER Chest sale and split it into multiple rounds that will begin at different times in order to accommodate fans in different time zones.

The first sale round will offer 10% of the previously announced supply (see below for the original announcement) and will start on Monday 17 May 2021, at 00:00 (12 a.m.) UTC. Other rounds will follow.

First official TOWER Chest sale begins 12 May 2021

The first official TOWER Chest sale will begin on 12 May 2021 at 8 a.m. (UTC) at https://www.crazydefenseheroes.com. TOWER Chests are ERC-20 fungible tokens that can be used to obtain 3 random TOWER Game Card non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on Crazy Defense Heroes. Get your TOWER ready to participate in the sale — see below for prices.

Background

The TOWER Chests contain TOWER Game Card NFTs which will have utility in our upcoming tower defense blockchain game, and will be stakeable in the future to generate TOWER tokens. Note that these NFTs are not for use in the mobile games Crazy Kings or Crazy Defense Heroes.

A total of 6,500 Chests will be available in this sale for purchase with TOWER tokens. TOWER is the ERC-20 fungible utility token for the Animoca Brands Crazy Kings game franchise, and is the basis of an initiative by Animoca Brands to blend traditional Free-to-Play gaming with the Play-to-Earn potential of blockchain gaming. TOWER Chest sale details 12 May 2021

The TOWER Chest sale will be held at https://www.crazydefenseheroes.com starting on 12 May 2021 at 8 a.m. (UTC) and ending on 19 May 2021 at 8 a.m. (UTC). There will be 6,500 TOWER Chests available in 3 rarity levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold, with Gold being the most valuable and scarce. The price and supply of each Chest type are as follows:

Chests can only be purchased using TOWER, and you can purchase a maximum of 3 chests of the same type in each transaction. Any unsold Chests will be destroyed, together with the TOWER Game Card NFTs inside them.

Chest opening will be available in the coming weeks. The Chests are fungible tokens and you can trade them freely as long as they are unopened.

About the TOWER Game Card NFTs

All TOWER Game Card NFTs included in the Chests in this sale are based on existing cards from the game Crazy Defense Heroes, which is a popular tower defense and collectible card mobile game in the Crazy Kings franchise developed and published by Animoca Brands. In Crazy Defense Heroes there are Tower Cards, Spell Cards and Hero Cards to be used in battles, and Equipment Cards for improving the stats and changing the abilities and appearance of your avatar. These game cards have different power, value, and rarity represented by the number of stars on the card:

Common: 1-star
Rare: 2-star
Epic: 3-star
Legendary: 4-star

Please note that TOWER Game Card NFTs will have utility in our upcoming blockchain game, but they cannot be used in the mobile game Crazy Defense Heroes. This means that the NFTs you own will be separate from the cards in your mobile game account. For example, if you get a Legendary Necromancer Tower NFT in this chest sale, you will not receive a corresponding 4-star Necromancer Tower in the mobile game.

TOWER Game Card NFTs staking

Part of the value of TOWER Game Card NFTs comes from their ability to passively generate TOWER via staking. Higher rarity NFTs will have higher TOWER staking rewards.

The first round of staking is expected to begin in the coming months and will run for 4 weeks.

Example: in the luckiest scenario you can open a Gold Chest that will contain 2 Legendary and 1 Epic TOWER Game Card NFTs; in the least lucky scenario, a Gold Chest will contain 2 Common cards and 1 Rare card.
