Today we say goodbye to the landing page that has greeted all those who visited townsourced.com over the past few months.

The landing page was always meant to be a place holder, a simple contact button, a link to our pitch deck, and links to our social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and this blog).

But the landing page became a little more than that. I took the photo used for the landing page in Hastings, Minnesota. Downtown Hastings is like a throwback to a different era. Main Street is lined with Mom & Pop shops, the buildings are painted bright, fun colors and people walk the street window shopping and smiling at each other as they pass by.

If you have never been to Hastings, I urge you to take the time to visit. The local shops are great, the local restaurants serve fairly priced, delicious food and if you are at all interested in the Mississippi River and its bridges, Hastings has both new and old bridges that are worth the drive alone.

The reason I say the landing page became more than just a place holder is because every time Tim (founder of Townsourced) or I went to the landing page, we were reminded of the day I took that photo of Hastings and the small town community feeling we got as we walked down Main Street.

Hastings, MN

That “small town” feeling is what Townsourced is all about. At its core and the inspiration behind Townsourced, is Small Communities.

Today we say goodbye to the landing page but we will not forget the reasons why we created Townsourced.

Tomorrow we launch and we are excited to see how you and your communities will use Townsourced!
