Based in downtown Los Angeles, Elementary Robotics is a full-stack robotics startup that is helping customers automate repetitive day-to-day tasks to improve human operator productivity and cut operating costs. Led by founder and CEO Arye Barnehama, the company is looking to fill several key positions as it scales up operations.
Senior Robotics Integration Engineer: Elementary Robotics is hiring a Senior Robotics Integration Engineer to help tailor solutions for individual customers and support the deployment of its larger go-to-market strategy.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Elementary Robotics customers to identify key requirements and pain points for the larger engineering team. You will also be responsible for integrating customer-specific hardware/software peripherals and solutions into the base platform to ensure interoperability and lay the groundwork for the growing robotics integration team.
To qualify for this role, you will need a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field, as well as 5+ years of experience with system integration of robotics systems or similar hardware products. You will also need experience with software development for Linux systems and a flexible skillset across multiple engineering disciplines. This position requires frequent travel to customer facilities in order to install and service Elementary Robotics hardware.
Elementary Robotics is always looking for candidates that are willing to go above and beyond. In addition to the qualifications above, the team prefers candidates who have experience in project management roles, as well as those with a background in Python, GitHub, and Docker.
Principal Firmware Engineer: This role is responsible for leading and growing the firmware engineering team, and is instrumental to the company’s long-term strategy.
As the Principal Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for the development roadmap, feature set, and capabilities of the systems firmware. You’ll develop and maintain high-performance bare-metal firmware in C and contribute to the architecture and design of custom microcontroller systems. You will also develop and maintain drivers in C and C++ for embedded Linux systems that communicate with existing robotic hardware and the Elementary Robotics SDK, while contributing to overall architecture and design. Finally, you will be required to interface with a multidisciplinary team to better understand product requirements and architect solutions that creatively solve customer needs.
If you’d like to apply for this role, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a related field, as well as 10+ years of experience in microcontroller digital design or embedded firmware design. You will also need experience with C, C++ and OOP techniques and a solid understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, compilers, and code performance. Elementary Robotics is also looking for candidates with strong software engineering skills and experience with GitHb, CI/CD, unit testing, and mainstream microcontrollers and microprocessors.
