Senior SLAM Product Manager, SLAMcore, London, UK: Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology is beginning to appear in real products, and more companies are using this approach to help intelligent devices understand and interact with their environmental and semantic surroundings. SLAMcore, a London-based startup developing breakthrough spatial AI solutions that use computer vision, sensor fusion and machine learning, is actively looking for a Senior SLAM Product Manager to round out their leadership team.

This role would work closely with the CEO to help define and maintain the SLAMcore product strategy, build out the roadmap, and help prioritize target vertical markets. Acting as a key liaison between both internal and external stakeholders, this key hire will also help build strong relationships with strategic customers and partners while ensuring alignment between engineering, marketing, and sales teams.

SLAMcore is looking for someone with hands-on experience with SLAM and robotics, as well as experience developing product roadmaps for localization and mapping technologies. Strong communication skills are a must for this position, as the role will require engagement in technical discussions with the engineering team and a high degree of comfort in interacting with external customers. The ideal candidate would also have a willingness to travel around the world, and experience in high-growth technology startups.

This opportunity is open to applicants worldwide as SLAMcore is able to provide sponsorship for various types of visas. Interested candidates can review the role and apply here.

Senior Software Engineer — Backend Systems, Nauto, Palo Alto, CA: Nauto, an AI startup that’s rethinking road safety and improving the intelligence of commercial vehicle fleets, is looking to fill a core position on their backend team. The position would include designing and implementing Nauto’s scalable, distributed, high-volume applications that require 24x7 uptime. This would also require making architectural trade-offs when applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns to ensure delivery speediness and quality.

Nauto is taking a holistic approach to improving driver safety through greater vehicle knowledge. The company strives to deepen understanding of real-world driving behavior by tracking interactions between vehicles and various road conditions and creating ways to detect distractions. The Nauto team is also applying learned driver insights to develop safe, effective autonomous vehicles that can effectively coexist with traffic patterns and the vagaries of human driving behavior. This position would further Nauto’s overall mission by creating and supporting more effective database and analytical systems that underpin everything that the company is creating today.

The candidate Nauto is looking for would ideally have 4+ years of experience in software engineering roles that had a track record of successful software production and delivery, and a high degree of knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software design. You would also need to be able to write clean, maintainable and testable code in GoLang, Python or Node.js (GoLang preferred).

Finally, experience working with relational databases like Postgres, MySQL and NoSQL products, as well as container orchestration systems like Juberete and ECS would help the candidate manage the wide variety of data gathered by Nauto.
