Based in New York and Barcelona, Near Space Labs is disrupting the geospatial imaging industry. Through its fleet of Swiftys, an autonomous wind and software-powered platform, Near Space Labs collects up to 1,000 square kilometers of high-quality images from the stratosphere per flight. The imagery is processed by Near Space Labs and delivered to the end customer through their API. The quality of the images is up to 50x sharper than satellite imagery and costs are 30–45% lower than aircraft imagery. These images are being used to solve a variety of challenges related to conservation, city planning, post-disaster property inspections, and more.

Head of Marketing (Remote or Brooklyn, New York)

As head of marketing, you will build and own Near Space Lab’s marketing strategy and channels across multiple platforms. This is an exciting role for a multi-faceted marketer who can work at both the strategic level and the tactical level. Experience with digital marketing, brand marketing, and events is needed for this role, as you will be developing and owning holistic marketing campaigns across digital, web, email, social media, ads, content, and more. You will also be monitoring and communicating performance metrics and data insights, as well as helping to create engaging content. Other responsibilities include implementing creative tactics to reach new customers, and working cross-functionally to meet sales goals and business objectives.

You should have a bachelor’s degree or other college degree, as well as five or more years of experience building, executing, and scaling marketing teams, programs, and initiatives, specifically with B2B SaaS, DaaS, or hardware products. The ideal candidate has management experience, delivers projects on time, and is an effective cross-functional collaborator. Strong analytical skills are needed, as well as familiarity using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements. Understanding of space tech, remote sensing, or geospatial imaging is a plus, as well as a track record of success at a startup.

Strategic Account Executive (Remote or Brooklyn, New York)

The strategic account executive will be a part of the founding sales team, contributing to sales strategy and responsible for driving and closing new business across a variety of verticals and applications. You will own the entire sales process from identifying, qualifying, and nurturing a pipeline of leads to providing demonstrations, negotiating, and closing customer deals. In order to succeed in this role, you will work closely with customers to understand business objectives and with cross-functional teams to effectively service customers and provide product feedback. You should have the ability to drive multi-year deals with enterprise B2B customers in traditional geospatial verticals.

You should have a bachelor’s degree and at least five or more years of experience in geospatial, enterprise, DaaS and/or SaaS technical sales, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas. Previous experience within a high-growth company or team and scaling an organization is also needed, as is a technical understanding of geospatial imagery or data products. Also valuable are strong organizational and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
