When we first founded TRAC, our vision was centered on pioneering the first indexer/oracles for ordinals. As we progressed, our ambitions scaled alongside the growing potential we observed, leading us to embrace “All Things Bitcoin”. This approach has been a guiding principle for us, constantly driving us to diversify in response to evolving market trends. The market for inscriptions, in particular, has shown significant growth, capturing our attention and shaping our strategy.

Dogecoin, with its roots tracing back to Bitcoin through multiple forks, presents unique advantages in the realm of inscriptions. Its connection to Bitcoin is not just technical but also conceptual, giving it a certain familiarity and ease of adoption in the crypto community. This intrinsic relationship with Bitcoin makes Dogecoin an ideal candidate for our expanded services.

Recognizing the emerging need in the market for a decentralized indexer specifically tailored for DRC-20, we made a strategic decision to extend our capabilities. A significant challenge with inscriptions in the form of DRC-20 arises from the lack of effective tracking methods. This deficiency makes it difficult to verify the authenticity and legitimacy of DRC-20 mints. In the absence of a dependable tracking system, questions often arise regarding the provenance and authenticity of newly minted tokens.

Trac Core is set to take a significant leap forward by initiating the indexing of all DRC-20 tokens, a move aimed at delivering precise data to service providers. This development is a game-changer for builders who are keen on developing within the ecosystem, as it offers them access to accurate, up-to-date data. The key here is the decentralized nature of this data provision.

Fostering a Robust Ecosystem and Increasing User Adoption

Dogechain will directly benefit from developments made within Trac’s ecosystem, allowing for the same type of innovations & applications that we’ve seen in the past months on Bitcoin already. This includes, but is not limited to, Ordinals. Just recently for example, a 3rd-party implementation of Pipe has been deployed on Dogechain called Dipe.

Moving forward, we will not only see new things being adopted but also innovations being exchanged across the two platforms. With the Trac ecosystem, each community will find a common place to share their ideas and visions — across the boundaries of their respective chains.
