Since technology came into our lives, many daily tasks have been made easier, while increasing digital dangers, such as the well-known fake news, or fake news.

For example, in the midst of the crisis caused by the pandemic of the new Coronavirus or Covid-19, fake news has been the order of the day, mainly on social networks, thus giving rise to the term “Infodemia”, as well as describing information false that has circulated about this virus; giving way to the need of people to fill the information gaps through WhatsApp or Facebook chains, misinforming and falling into activities that, instead of being positive, can become harmful or dangerous for individuals and their families

For this and many other reasons, obtaining our information from true sources is of vital importance; both to keep us safe in the case of the Coronavirus, and to avoid the social panic caused by disinformation, whether in times of the Coronavirus or any other crisis. Therefore, it is very important to obtain our information from news sites and 100% truthful scientific information, being our main allies.

In this sense, we are all responsible for preventing the dissemination of false information and the way to do this is to verify it before automatically sharing it: analyze who is the originator of the information; make sure that it comes from a reliable source, that is, that it is not anonymous; if you doubt, check the information in official sources and / or visit the official page or social networks of the source; If you continue to doubt, do not share it.
