EOQ2 Community Update
It’s been an exhilarating month with the launch of our IOS mobile app as well as the release of new financial markets and global trading assets. Here’s a recap of our first few weeks, post-launch…
As always, we would like to offer a huge thank you to the TradeConnect community from all around the world for their ongoing support of the TradeConnect Network. The release of the first iteration of our IOS platform has come with a lot of positive feedback and we are very pleased to finally onboard traders to the platform.
Our primary focus is now on the development of our Android platform as well as the final integration of TCO into our platform as our third account base wallet.
With that said, it is not a trivial task to develop and continue to iterate upon a cutting-edge live cryptocurrency margin trading platform, such as TradeConnect. It’s important to remember that when you innovate in the financial sector the risk is greater, so we are always focused on ensuring that, on top of everything else, security is our number one priority whilst continuing to provide our crypto traders with a world-class trading experience.
As we focus on new milestones and look to achieve further goals ahead, our overall mission remains, to connect crypto traders with the largest number of global financial assets from within a single easy-to-use multi-asset trading platform using cryptocurrency as collateral.
New Markets and Financial Assets
The ongoing expansion of the variety of markets and financial assets we offer on our platform is incredibly important as every financial instrument that we add offers our traders new opportunities.
With this in mind, the process of rolling out new assets is not something we take lightly. Each new financial asset class must be reviewed in-depth from a risk and compliance point of view before being rolled out to the wider community.
Since our launch, we have released 4 new financial assets, including:
- BTC/USD
- ETH/USD
- USDBRL
- Brazil60
Brazil60 is our first Futures asset which was rolled out by request of our traders in Brazil. We will be updating our website with contract specifications shortly but in the meanwhile, you can read more about Brazil60 and USDBRL here.
We now have 60 different global financial assets available to trade on the TradeConnect platform. This is one of the largest offerings of any crypto margin trading platform worldwide and we have so much more to come! We recommend that all of our crypto traders review the documentation for these new financial assets before commencing to trade in order to ensure that you are aware of all contract specifications.
New Account Base Wallets
We are pleased to announce to the community that we are currently working on the rollout of 4 new account base wallets to the TradeConnect platform. These include:
- TCO
- BCH
- XRP
- USDT
What is an Account Base Wallet?
Account base wallets are the underlying margin currency that trader’s use to trade any of our global financial assets available on TradeConnect. Essentially, the more account base wallets that we offer, the more choice our crypto traders have when margin trading with us.
Each account base wallet offers traders different trading opportunities as each cryptocurrency comes with its own volatility and level of risk that can be used by the trader according to his/her independent trading strategy.
When you register on the TradeConnect platform, you are required to select which account base wallet you want to use in your account. This wallet is the currency that you will be able to use as collateral when margin trading with us.

Partnerships — BitGo, BlockXAfrica
We continue to work with BitGo as our platform custodian and insurance provider. We will be releasing new partner content over the coming weeks so stay tuned for that.
Earlier this month, we also announced our partnership with BlockxAfrica. We continue to work with the team at BlockXAfrica to provide free trading resources to our friends in the African region.
We have also opened a new Telegram channel for our African traders and have been conducting surveys and promotions to help increase awareness of TradeConnect amongst the wider crypto community.
Affiliate Partner Program
We are excited to report that our TradeConnect Affiliate Partner program is very close to release. We have received a large number of requests from crypto traders and the community to take part in our Affiliate Partner program and we would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support and eagerness to take part in our upcoming affiliate program.

Android App Progress
According to 2020 mobile statistics, the average mobile phone user uses 30 different apps in a month. Most of us are checking apps on our phones multiple times an hour, which shows just how large of a role they play in our lives.
With this in mind, the development of our Android app continues to be one of our primary focuses as we move towards the start of Q3.
The TradeConnect Android application is an incredibly important aspect of the product offering we provide our traders in the TradeConnect Network and we are dedicated to developing a best-in-class application for all of our traders irrespective of what platform they want to use.
We will also be rolling out our Android Waiting List within the next fortnight, so stay tuned for more updates on our Android platform in the coming weeks.
Hiring New Staff
In addition to the ongoing development of the platform, we are also in the process of hiring a CTO and a range of new developer roles for the TradeConnect team. All of these roles will play a significant part in helping us to roll out upcoming key releases. We will be conducting interviews over the coming weeks and will be onboarding team members as required.
