TradeRiser Research Assistant

Case I

It is now 15:41 Monday 2nd of April 2018, rain is drizzling from the sky and puddles are starting to form on the pavement and roadways. Housebound for the evening, it is the ideal time to research potential equities, commodities, forex and crypto assets to add to my trading portfolio. As I start to power on my computer, my phone is illuminating with multiple messages being communicated about the possibility of a 5-a-side soccer match.

Time was soon my enemy, the time it would take me to analyse mountains of data, research analysis papers and read the latest newspaper headlines would not allow me to make the 5-a-side match.

Solution

TradeRiser allows me to do this by providing real time information, analysis and answers to market questions. It acts as a ‘Google’ for financial research. By asking the TradeRiser Research Assistant which leverages the blockchain and big data to answer the research questions I have allowed me to get to the football pitch just in time for kick off.

Case II

Victoria is a mum who normally invests in stocks and has recently taken a liking to cryptocurrencies following the massive rise of Bitcoin and altcoins such as Ethereum last year. Due to the underdeveloped nature of the cryptocurrency space, she can’t get a handle of which cryptocurrencies and ICOs to invest in. She want to be able skip past the noise and the hype and invest in the cryptocurrencies based on their industry, sector and historical patterns, the same way she would if she was investing in stocks. With the ever increasing number of cryptocurrencies being created daily and a preexisting stock portfolio to manage carrying out the research is proving tedious and time consuming. She normally keeps up with the news and develops her trading strategies using a spreadsheet and technical analysis.

Solution

TradeRiser allows Victoria to simply ask a trading question within a search box, in the same way she would normally use search engine to find restaurant. Here are a number of questions Victoria can ask :

1. Which cryptocurrency sectors are doing well in the current bear market?

2. Which cryptocurrencies are undervalued?

3. Which altcoin is likely to reach 100x based on historical and current community sentiment?

4. Which altcoins have the strongest correlation with Facebook stock?

Case III

Daniel is trader that normally relies on technical analysis for all of his trading. He recently read an article about hedge funds making even more significant gains in both the crypto and traditional financial markets. This is due to advancements in data science, quantitative analytics and machine learning. Daniel wants to be able to trade in the same way but does not have access to the same tools and platforms the hedge funds do. Any attempt by Daniel to research and build strategies like the hedge funds will be a time consuming and huge learning curve.

Solution

TradeRiser lets Daniel ask complex trading question and get an instant answer which he can incorporate into his trading. He wants to know the following:

1. Is the china Caixin Manufacturing PMI a good measure of contraction or expansion in the Chinese economy?

2. What happens to the sectors when there are category 2 or less Atlantic hurricane and tropical storm landfalls since the 1980?

3. How does the cryptocurrency market perform 4 days after the Bitcoin crosses above $15 000 for the first time?

4. Is EUR/GBP more likely to exhaust or continue in the same direction for a similar movement after gaining/losing 150 pips in a day?
