Taking Pits to the next level
As Coldplay once said — up & up!
If you’ve been around Traders Eco for a while, we believe you are aware of Pits.
In case you are not, no worries. Let us cover it for you.
When you enter the new Fund Portal, you will find a page with chat groups called Pits (ta-dah!)
Pits are the place for you to discuss everything finance-related with people that are into trading as much as you.
We love that Pits provides a way for traders to interact, but it’s far from how we want it to be.
To get closer to our vision, we have fixed the bugs we identified and brought new features.
Bugs No More! — at least, for now.
Here are the ones that are gone:
🐞 Not being able to rejoin a Pit you left by mistake
For now, users are divided geographically on Pits. As a way of avoiding leaving and not being able to rejoin, you won’t be able to leave the geographic group. For groups created by other members, you will still be able to leave.
🐞 The second bug is a UX improvement when writing a message on your mobile phone
The TCT and camera icons will disappear in order for you to have more room to write down what you want.
🐞 Link colors
We noticed sometimes users weren’t able to see a link in a message written by someone else. We adjusted the colors to make sure you are able to see the full message, in both bright and dark mode.
And now on for the good stuff… NEW FEATURES!
1. “When was that again?”
There’s nothing worse than having the resemblance that something was said in the chat and spending countless hours scrolling through it to find that *one* message.
We’ve all been there, especially if you’ve been around during the old days of WhatsApp or Telegram.
Pits now have a SEARCH FEATURE, not wanting you to go back to these not-so-good days.
To use it, go to the 🔎 magnifying glass icon on the top bar of the Pit and type the word/term you want to look for.
2. “Better saved than sorry” — or something like that.
Another feature we all can’t live without is SAVE MESSAGES.
It can either be a good trading tip someone gave you or a video to watch later — you pick and save the messages you want.
For that, hold the message and click “Save.”
Every time you want to find a saved message, go to Pits’ “Saved” tab.
📁 And, of course, your saved messages can only be seen by you, as you cannot see the notes someone else saved.
3. “You don’t want to cross that line, my friend.”
Noticed someone not being nice on Pits?
You can REPORT A MESSAGE for our moderation team to take a 👀 careful look 👀 into that.
To do that, hold the message and click “Report”. Then, select the problem you noticed.
This feature is one of the essential steps for us to improve the moderation system of the ecosystem and make sure everyone finds a safe and welcoming community of traders.
