Tradeshift was invited to participate at this years’ edition of GoTech World Bucharest, on the 3rd and 4th of October.
GoTech World (formerly Internet & Mobile World) is the largest B2B expo-conference in CEE, with over 10,000 attendees, 140 exhibiting stands of multinational and local companies, and 7 large stages, corresponding to as many exhibition areas with specific solutions.

We accepted the invite and challenged ourselves one step forward.
We set some ambitious goals: To have a great impact, to raise curiosity in the minds of the visitors about Tradeshift and to stand out of the crowd.
So we decided to go with an outstanding booth, where we could interact with the visitors, and an amazing speaker, Rolf Njor Jensen, our SVP of Engineering.

It was for the first time that Tradeshift Engineering was present at a conference with a booth. And not just a simple booth.

In the words of our visitors, it was a booth that stood out from the crowd, and it attracted a lot of people to approach us wanting to learn more about Tradeshift, both our working culture and our product.

The president of Romania, Mr. Klaus Iohannis, was also present at the event. He was the guest of honor and opened up the event with a speech at the Opening Ceremony.

25 proud shifters attended the event, ambassadors of Tradeshift that interacted with the visitors at the booth and at the event, during those two days.

The experience of attending GoTech World, in the words of Elena Andriescu, Software Engineer at our Bucharest office:

If I were to choose one word to describe this year’s GoTech event, I would choose ELECTRIC. I have participated in other tech events before, but this year, as part of the Tradeshift team, I had the opportunity to really enjoy the atmosphere, observe the other companies presenting, learn new interesting things in various areas and most of all, interact with a lot of people. We were continuously in motion, active, talking and meeting both potential clients and potential colleagues. Everyone was in great spirits, everyone was enthusiastic to present the Tradeshift Way, people loved to interact with each other, loved to connect. It was a really fun experience and I look forward to next year’s event!

We had contests at the booth, such as puzzle competitions and a general quiz-game using the Kahoot platform. The visitors were very excited to attend, asking for second rounds!

Our speaker, Rolf Njor Jensen, held the Engineering a Unicorn presentation, accompanied by Mihai Barbasura, Project Manager at the Bucharest office, who gave his insights about the cultural flavour in our office — stay tuned to find out more about the speech in our upcoming blog post on GoTech World!
