How Tradiio managed to have 97% of it’s songs played

It’s 2015 and the music streaming industry is at boiling point as Apple
Music and Spotify are battling it out for supremacy. But while these two
Goliaths go to war, there’s still a big problem to solve ­ from the millions of
songs released every day, only a small percentage are actually ever
listened to. No one was presenting a solution for this. Until we looked at our numbers.

On Tradiio a stunning 97% of the songs on the platform have been listened to at least once. This means that almost every song that’s uploaded to Tradiio gets exposure. The most obvious question is ­ how did we manage to do this?

The way Tradiio works is key to understanding this. Tradiio is a music app
where every user scouts for talent and helps new artists succeed. Users
get incentives for discovering and helping new artists. As a direct result,
these artists get opportunities such as radio play, festival bookings, music
videos and even label deals.

This means that whenever an artist uploads a new song, there are literally
thousands of users waiting to critique and evaluate their potential. The
result is clear: beside having 97% of songs with listens, from the songs
uploaded, 92% have investments and an average of 72% have active
investments simultaneously.

By using gamification and offering users a clear way to influence artists’
success, we managed to shed light on a problem which is far from being
solved. Now the question is: how can get to 100%?
