After taking Tradr, a social enterprise startup that aims to “Track the War on Waste”, through the Impact Spark accelerator program in 2018, we learnt there are other initiatives out there that bring positive social change to people’s lives.

One of them is Yiriman Women Bush Enterprises, a social enterprise whose goal is to ‘build stories in young people’ by exploring the potential of creating new economic opportunities for people living in remote communities in the Kimberley of Western Australia.

This intergenerational ‘on-country’ cultural program was conceived and developed by local elders from four Kimberley language groups — Nyikina, Mangala, Karajarri and Walmajarri and has resulted in the production of jewellery using plant seeds and the production of a number of skin care products from raw materials.

However, social enterprises need resources to be sustainable, and an important capability is access to information technology devices, namely laptops. That is why we are happy to announce, that our first four $500 contributions to our crowdfunding campaign, will send four refurbished laptops up to the Kimberley (Total Green Recycling)and will be handed to the Yiriman Women should our campaign be successful and hit the ‘tipping point’ goal of $15,000.

We only have just over a week to hit our goal, please support us with pledges so we can build our waste tracking platform, and you can also help see refurbished electronics go out to those who need them.

Make a pledge now at the Tradr Crowdfunding Campaign Page and help get refurbished laptops up to people who need them!

Thank you so much for your support
