A big thank you to conference organisers for putting together such an amazing event with a buzzing atmosphere. It is great to see the waste community of Perth getting together and presenting some local solutions!

Perth Waste & Recycle Conference 2018

The Conference, hosted by the Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA), Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER), and Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA), is still the leading waste and resource recovery event in Western Australia.

A big thanks to Dr Atiq Zaman for a fantastic presentation on how innovative technology can help improve the waste industry. Dr Atiq Zaman is a Lecturer at the School of Design and the Built Environment and a Researcher at the Curtin University Sustainability Policy (CUSP) Institute, Curtin University. He has more than seven years of research experiences in the area of sustainable waste management and environmental assessment. He is an active advocate for zero waste philosophy, activities and practices. Dr Zaman’s research interests include zero waste cities, collaborative consumption, circular economy and sustainable development.
