Dan Kennedy told me about the time a client hands him some copy and says, “Here’s the copy I think we should use.”

Dan takes one look at it, hands it back and says, “It won’t work.”

Client: “But you didn’t read it, how do you know?”

Dan: “The headline sucked. If the headline sucks, it doesn’t matter how good the rest of the body is.”

GET THIS DOWN 🤓

The headline is the most important part of the copy,

you have to grab their curiosity!

They’re likely scrolling through their Facebook feed when they come across your headline.

How are you going to make them stop?

All you want is their attention.

Attention leads to interest, interest leads to clicking through on the ad, and so on.

Keep their attention through each step of the sale and that will lead them to convert.

Here are 🖐🏼 legendary headlines that will work for any niche:

1. “How to” and “How to do X”, also “Here’s how I” or “Here’s how we…”

2. Secrets of X revealed OR I’ve discovered the secrets of X. If you want…

3. Give Me [short time period] and I’ll give you [desired outcome] (Works great in the beginning of a video sales letter)

4. The lazy [person in market’s] way to [desired outcome] e.g. “The lazy person’s guide to being productive”

5. You don’t have to be [something challenging] to be [desired result] OR if niche, was, say relationship counseling, “How to improve your marriage WITHOUT talking to your husband”

📍Points to remember about headlines:

☀️If the headline isn’t good, the rest of the copy doesn’t matter (can’t stress this enough)

☀️Grabbing attention: Don’t be loud, don’t lie, don’t be cheeky for the sake of it.

☀️“How to” or “Who else” works well

☀️Use a sub-heading to introduce another big benefit. If the headline is outrageous, you may need to use this line to validate the claim.

☀️You can also hint at the offer if it’s a good one!

Follow these criteria for maximum impact in your headline 🔥💪

What one thing makes copy your fans love? 😍
