Meet Ruth the Architect

The demand for Architects has seen one of the highest growth rates in the Salesforce ecosystem, so becoming Salesforce certified will take you a long way.

And since everything is better with friends, Salesforce is excited to introduce a new Trailhead character to help guide you along your Architect Journey.

Our Trailhead characters represent every part of the #SalesforceOhana. They’re your guide when you learn new skills, connect with one another, or give back to the community. They’re there to high five you every step of the way!

And now, the Salesforce Architect Community has its own guide — Ruth the Architect. It’s a special day when a new character joins the Salesforce Ohana, and Ruth is no exception.

R — Responsible
(takes ownership)
U — Universal
(is global-minded)
T — Technical
(has a solutioning mindset)
H — Humble
(cares about sharing knowledge with the rest of the community)

Pronouns: She/Her
Represents: Architects, Engineering, Platform

Personality: Intelligent,
detail-oriented, and committed to her cause. A Certified Technical Architect, Ruth designs systems and solutions that benefit the entire enterprise.

The elephant is in the room. And she’s a total boss.

Elephants and Architects share a lot of characteristics. So we knew an elephant would be the perfect guide for the Architect Community.

  • Elephants are high-performance leaders. They are builders, explorers, tool users, risk-takers, and innovators — with memorable personalities to boot. They build, share, and create solutions that boost the health of the entire herd.
  • Elephants are wise and trusting. The herd is led by the oldest female, or matriarch, and consists of closely related females and their offspring. They develop strong and trusting relationships and watch out for each other.
  • Elephants are social and embody Ohana. When reunited, they are welcomed back into a symphony of joyful noise, ear flapping, and a whole lot of hugs.

Inspired by a real Trailblazer

In Hebrew, Ruth means companion or friend. This character is dedicated to all of the Ruths in the world, but our Architect was named after one person in particular who truly inspires us…

Ruth Njoki Kiarie embodies the Salesforce spirit of Ohana and the true nature of an elephant.

We first met Ruth when she was working as a teacher at the Karibu Centre in Kenya, a unique organization that empowers children, their parents, and their community to achieve greater economic stability.

Ruth discovered her passion for programming and coding during her time at the Karibu Centre and eventually started her own STEAM program there.

So far, she has made a positive impact on the lives of more than 1,000 children!

We are awestruck by the difference she’s making — not only by helping kids develop science and technology skills but also by building up their dreams.

It’s time to transform your career

To become the Architect of your dreams, Ruth will guide you on your Salesforce Architect Journey — a credential program giving aspiring Architects their path to certification.

There are credentials for each domain, recognizing not only specialized technical knowledge and skills but also expertise that can only be developed through real-world experience on the platform.

  1. The Salesforce Architect Designer credentials validate knowledge and expertise in particular specializations.
  2. The Salesforce Application Architect and System Architect certifications recognize professionals who possess expertise in a domain area.
  3. The Salesforce Technical Architect (CTA) credential is the pinnacle certification for those who’ve developed the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to design and build high-performance technical solutions on the Salesforce Platform across all areas of domain expertise.

Be like Ruth. Embrace your inner Architect

The world needs more elephants — more risk-takers, innovators, explorers, and builders. So, if you can feel your inner elephant calling, join Ruth the Architect on the Salesforce Architect Journey and blaze a new trail in your career!

Get started on your #JourneyToCTA to grow your resume, develop your skills, gain a competitive edge, and earn globally recognized credentials along the way.
