Trailhead Empowers Everyone to Skill Up: Announcing NEW Innovations!

We decided to use the first day of TrailheaDX to announce, not one, not two, but THREE new features for Trailhead! Yes, three new ways to empower you to skill up, whether you’re just getting started with Trailhead or you’re trailblazing to Ranger and beyond.

Today marks the kickoff of our third annual TrailheaDX Salesforce Developer Conference. It’s an amazing moment in time for you to come together with your fellow Trailblazers — whether you’re attending in person or at a global community gathering. It’s also the perfect time for some exciting news.

We’re thrilled to announce that you’ve blazed past the 5 million badge milestone and just reached 6.5 million badges earned on Trailhead! We know you’re showing no signs of slowing down and that is why we’re introducing three new Trailhead features to help you learn, earn, and connect more than ever before!

1. Trail Guides: Your Personalized Guide to Skill Up

From day one, Astro has always been your guide to Trailhead, empowering you to be anything you want to be. We wanted to take Astro’s role one step further with new Trail Guides. Trail Guides are personalized learning journeys led by Astro, based on specific roles and experience levels, that empower anyone to learn the skills of the future.

Through custom recommendations including content, emails, notifications, and more — Trailblazers are guided step-by-step on their journey to a promotion, career change, or dream job.

Trail Guides begin on the new Trailhead homepage. Whether your goal is to become a Salesforce Administrator, Developer, Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Architect, or Business Analyst — there is a fun, personalized, cross-channel learning journey designed just for you. We’ve always said that Trailblazing is a team sport, with Trail Guides by your side, we know you’ll be able to skill up and land your dream job.

2. New Trailhead Content from Google

To empower you to skill up for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we want to ensure that you have the most in-demand skills right at your fingertips. That’s why we’ve expanded Trailhead beyond Salesforce skills to include technical, business, soft, and even innovative skills from our awesome partners.

We kicked off expanding the platform to include partner content at TrailheaDX last year with the release of amazing developer modules from Atlassian and GitHub. Next, we launched the Amazon and AWS trails.

Today, we are extending the Trailhead platform even further with brand new in-demand content from Google.

1. Google Analytics Basics: A new module to help you get started with your Google Analytics account.
2. Google Analytics Reports and Dashboards: A new module to enable you with key insights into your website with out-of-the-box reporting.
3. Query GitHub Data Using BigQuery: A new hands-on project where you’ll run a powerful query using Google’s analytics database.

With these exciting new additions, Trailhead empowers you to master Google Analytics and BigQuery — expanding your skillset and laying more groundwork for your career.

3. Certification Maintenance on Trailhead

As the rate of innovation around you continues to increase, we’re always looking for ways to empower you with the skills that employers are looking for. According to Burning Glass Technologies, there were more than 300,000 new jobs in the last year calling for Salesforce skills. Salesforce Certified Trailblazers have never been more sought after.

But something that you’ve been asking for to make Salesforce Certification even better is to have all certification maintenance on Trailhead. And we couldn’t agree more! That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that effective with the Summer ’18 release, the Administrator, Platform App Builder, and Platform Developer I maintenance exams will join the Marketing Cloud Email and Social Specialist maintenance exams on Trailhead.

All other maintenance exams will be migrated to Trailhead by the end of January 2019. Check out the details here.
