You’d have to be living under a rock not to have noticed the Pokémon Go craze sweeping the world. Designed as an augmented reality mobile application, the game encourages users to move around the real world to check-in at real-life locations, all with the hopes of being able to catch Pokémon — on a screen.

Deserted playgrounds have suddenly become bustling with kids of all ages, businessmen stop on street corners to play as they walk to work, and Uber drivers now have a new source of income, serving as a shuttle to quickly move from one “Pokéstop” to the next.

With a community that is millions strong and a built-in team system, you’d expect players to be working together constantly. Instead you’ll more often than not find players, heads down on their phones, playing alone even within close proximity of each other. With that in mind, we’ve worked with our partners at Snagajob to identify different “trainer types” in hopes of highlighting new ways that players can work together to quickly “Snag ’Em All.”

You’ve Got To Be The Very Best

At Traitify we regularly create custom assessments, but have also been blown away by the versatility of our existing personality measurements. Wanting to bring our product to Pokémon users as quickly as possible, we began with our popular career assessment, a test already used by Snagajob via their Visuality tool. Working with Snagajob, our internal team was able to take our existing seven career personality types and develop new descriptions for what each of those personality types entails.

For example, a Visionary Type:

Here’s a vision: Still won’t catch a Pikachu today :(

“As a Visionary Trainer Type, you’re ready to catch ’em all…and be, “the very best, like no one ever was”! In other words, you want to fill your Pokédex and capture every gym along the way. Anything is worth it for a full Pokédex — even travelling! And you’re thinking towards the future, excitedly waiting for updates, the next round of Pokémon to be added, and ideas to make Pokémon GO a better game.

You are a Trainer who would happily train others. You’re not stingy with your expertise and will happily lead others to the areas where they can find the rarest Pokémon, as long as you’re the first to snag ’em all!”

Understand The Power That’s Inside

Additionally, we’ve revised our supplemental personality information, consisting of complementing/conflicting types to train with, and best environments in which to catch Pokémon. Here is where we encourage different personality types to go out and collaborate to get the most out of the game, and places where they might enjoy doing this.

Draw me like one of your French Pokémon.

With this unique content in mind, our talented design and development team quickly whipped up a unique landing page, meshing the bold, colorful style that Pokémon users are accustomed to with the colors and branding of Snagajob. Anyone landing on the page can jump in immediately, take our two-minute assessment, and then instantly see the relevant Trainer Type results.

Only my wife liked my post.

And of course, these can be shared with friends, encouraging them to take the assessments and start pairing up with other trainers.

Naturally, this wouldn’t be a Traitify-related application if there wasn’t a more practical element involved. Tied into our application is a link to jump straight to Snagajob, where this assessment, and more, can be used to help job seekers find the position that is right for them.

So now that you’ve read about it, it’s time to check it out! Head to snagajobgo.traitify.com to see what we’ve cooked up, or read more about it via Snagajob’s blog post.
