It’s 3:47 a.m., and I’m awake. Don’t worry it’s the life I chose.
Moreover, I’m only awake because I want to write to you. The past few months have easily been the most exciting of my life, yet for some reason I know it’s just the beginning.
Trakka launched. We trended on Twitter, and we’ve been struck by so many amazing stories of people using Trakka. We even created an #AfterTrakka series to show the world how we’re fulfilling our commitment to redefining personal finance.
So what’s new on Trakka since launch?
- Custom Categories— You can now create unique and personalized categories that suit your spending goals.
- Smart Categorization — Stop worrying about manually categorizing most of your transactions. Bank transfers, phone and internet, subscriptions, and bank charges are automatically categorized without you lifting a finger.
- Manual Transactions — Transactions that aren’t executed through your bank accounts can now be added to your budgets. Cash and other transactions can now be manually added so you never lose track — even when you don’t use your bank.
But that’s not all…
In the coming weeks, we’ll be taking on the challenge of offering a single channel for all your payment needs.
It’s going to be massive, and we want you to be a part of the movement 👀.
After our official launch in May, our product caught the attention of some prominent media, brands and publications.
We were featured on the African Tech segment of Channels TV. We were hosted on a podcast episode with Startup Couches.
We were featured in an article from Tech Steroids and also hosted in an interview with Bantu Voices.
We can’t forget the wonderful Twitter space with BuiltByAfricans.
And we are grateful for all these opportunities, where I consistently shared my experiences as a Gen-Z founder and restated our vision for Trakka.
From an idea dreamt up in a bedroom, to a product in the hands of thousands.
It’s surreal how much we’ve been able to accomplish in a few months of launch.
We’ve had 3000+ downloads, over 30,000 transactions being trakked 😉, and thousands of financial accounts synced.
