Boobs are a funny thing when you are changing from male to female. It depends on the overall size of your boobs to start with. You will need to identify this size before you begin looking forward to a breast increase. A lot of transgender woman will develop some type of breast as they continue there estrogen treatment and this will help with breast growth. The size of your breast will increase 1 cup size at least while you are on hormones and some people even get 2 cup sizes out of breast growth. For larger people with a fatty chest to start with will likely see a significant increase in your breast size. If you are the larger woman you can increase your breast size by reducing your weight while on hormones. This will emphasize your breast and show off the beautiful things.

You can check your current breast size by measuring around your chest with a measuring tape, preferably one that’s plastic or cloth measuring tape that can wrap around your breast. You want to wear a bra without any wires or pushups to get the best measurement. If you don’t currently have a bra you can do this without one but the size may vary a little. Measure at the bottom of the bra around the whole body, this will become your band size. Round off to the nearest whole number. Next, you will measure around the cup size, this is the part that goes around your breast and over your nipples. You are going to subtract your band size from your cup size measurements. This will give you a number from 1 to 4 and can be a little higher. If your number is a 1, it’s an A cup, if it’s a 2 it’s a B Cup if it’s a 3 it’s a C cup, if it’s a 4 it’s a D cup. 5, 6, 7 are larger D sizes increasing the D by one each time, for example, a size 6 is DDD. And if you have a 42 band size your cup size would be 42DDD. This will not likely be your size at the beginning of hormones but it is a good place to start your measurements to see breast growth.

My cup size is a 44B, and I am 237lbs as of today 1/21/19, 3 weeks into my hormones. I started at this size so it should increase to a C cup over time. Of course, your wondering how long with this take me to get to a larger cup size. Well, that’s a bit tricky because it depends on how strong of hormones you are on and the length of time you are on them. However, you will typically see the growth of your boobs increasing from 3rd month on hormones and reach full size in about 2–3 years. It is highly advisable to wait until you have had 3 years hormones and your breast have a chance to develop before you go about getting breast surgery. Who knows you may be satisfied with the growth and forgo the surgery altogether.

I hope this gives you an idea of where to go from here on your breast and gives you a bit of a timeline on how long it will take your breast to develop. Remember most teenage women see their breast growth over the course of several years starting at around the age of 12–13 and stops about the age of 16. That’s 3 years for a normal woman to have breast growth so it will take you about the same as a transgender woman.
