Opening applications for the Transcend Fellowship (W20)
Calling on all founders building early-stage companies in the future of learning and work
As of this week, we’ve officially opened applications for the Transcend Fellowship until December 1st: we are looking for 15 early-stage founders building the future of learning and work to join us for this 8-week remote fellowship!
We thought we should give some more background as to why we are building this project. Apply here before December 1st!
What is the Transcend Fellowship?
The Transcend Fellowship is an 8-week fellowship for early-stage founders building the future of learning and work. The program is fully remote, equity-free and cost-free, and will run from mid-January to mid-March of 2020.
The fellowship is built for early-stage founders in the space that want to take their projects to the next level and connect with other founders: we’ve spent a ton of time looking at existing accelerator and VC models and concluded that there are 3 key benefits of participating in these programs:
1. The founder community: the founder ties built at programs like YC or Techstars are so robust, the programs themselves have built tools to continue it in the future. Expect the same here!
2. The signaling power: looking for killer seed-stage startups? The easiest way is to look at YC’s latest batch. We want to build the same for the future of learning and work, where we feel there isn’t a strong brand to serve as a signal for investors and customers- yet.
3. The resources: we will connect you to top operators, investors and founders through our speakers and workshops, so you can get exclusive access to decades of knowledge. These include: group chats with top Silicon Valley investors, workshops with amazing operators (branding, growth, GTM strategies, social media, etc.)
The fellows will commit a few hours a week to participate in calls and workshops with the partners and operators of the fellowship, but we’ll try not to distract you from the important work you have to do.
Why are we doing this fellowship?
We want to build an experience for these founders to connect with one another, connect the dots of their work across geographies and sectors.
It’s 2019 and it’s still damn hard to get the support needed to start a project, as VCs want to see immaculate hockey sticks, top operators are impossible to find and corporate competition only gets bigger. This is particularly difficult to do outside of big markets where funds are comfortable operating: this fellowship wants to unite the forces of all these founders to push them in their early growth efforts.
