At Transcend Network, we are passionate about bringing people together around the future of learning and work. We work with young ambitious individuals around the world, and I want to take some time to explain where our conviction in this space comes from:

First, we see the future of learning developing outside of the traditional education system, and being increasingly integrated with other aspects of life and work. We think that focusing solely on education and edtech is limiting, as learning opportunities can be identified and applied to other sectors like finance, entertainment, culture, gaming…

Secondly, we see this learning as increasingly driven by communities. We see learning communities as a new component of businesses and organizations around the world, and predict that they will enable completely new business models that are impossible today.

Lastly, we see that our increasingly interconnected world is going to lead to novel and global learning communities: Generation-Z and digitally native generations will create an unprecedented level of opportunity and innovation through these communities. Some early examples include Product Hunt (the largest maker community), Ozy Media (40M users and 3M subscribers), Quartz (acquired for $110M in 2018), Springboard (online community-driven courses), altMBA (with 1,200 alumni) or Discord (largest gaming community platform).

If you are interested in this space or want to know more, subscribe to our newsletter or find us at Transcend Network.
