Companies need to use a simple last mile solution to save money, time and the environment

The first and last mile is costing you more than it should, especially, where taxis and shuttles are concerned and that is the reason we got started with our product TransferHero.

Do you know exactly how much your employees spend on getting to and from the airport? Do you know how to check and report on it? I am 99.9% certain that of the top of your head you have no clue. Trust me at first checking will open a Pandora's box, but in the end, it will be worth it. I promise.

Employee’s business travel is sorted out either by:

a) the employee’s booking everything themselves
b) the office manager taking care of it for them
c) by getting the travel agency to do it for them.

No matter what your company’s modus operandi is, in almost all cases, the first and last mile is costing you more than it should.

If the employee is handling it themselves top chances are they will book a hotel and the flight, but they will rarely also book the transfer. They will go out of the airport and into the first taxi they see. The most expensive one. Why? Because the company is paying of course!

If the office manager is booking, they will book it for you using again an online pre-booking method, but the prices might be a bit steep. As the company will rarely do the number of rides needed to reduce the prices.

And finally, the travel agency will just add a mark-up to the transfer, as it does with the hotel and the airline ticket.

So how are we different?

  1. Prices

We are able to offer better prices not just because we do more volume. We innovated and digitized the way pre-booked transfer pick-ups and drop-offs are done. We completely reduce the taxi driver idle waiting time, fill their empty kilometres by filling more rides on the return to airport trips and route optimization and in the end reduce the price you pay. Even with our mark-ups.

Let’s just say on average your company does 100 flights a month. That’s 400 potential taxi rides — where we are able to save your company at least 2000€ a month or 24.000€ per year.

2. Convenience

The mentality of the employee is to get out of the airport and into the first taxi they see. In our solution, you also get into the first taxi you see. But you pay a lot less.

3. Environmental sustainability

We are onboarding all means of getting to and from airports on our platform, but we started with taxis and shuttles. However, we also established partnerships with the greenest available taxi companies. We use mostly zero emission/hybrid and gas vehicles, but we don’t stop with that, as we also plant a tree for every ride we make and in that way completely cancel out the negative flight and ride carbon footprint left by the passengers.

Best thing, we also follow up with you on where the tree has been planted, so you are absolutely sure we did what we said we would.

A greener planet really can be a ride away.
