One of the most requested features is finally here! Now you can bulk import issues from Navisworks, Solibri, and BCF. Please read on.

The new bulk import tool supports BCF, Navisworks, and Solibri

How the New Bulk Import Tool Works

There are a couple of reasons why you need to transfer comments in batch from a different BIM tool to bimU.io Agile:

Clash detective in Navisworks
  • You run a test in clash detection software and want to better manage the problems found. This is the most common requirement.
  • You just receive a BCF or NWD file from your client or contractor. Hope this wouldn’t bother you anymore when every project participant adopts bimU.io Agile : )

bimU.io Agile talks to desktop-based BIM software via bimU.io Launcher. Please get the latest version here to use the new bulk import tool. Before starting the import process, you may need to filter out the items you want. For example, change the clash status in Navisworks. It’ll then be easier to find and select them in the bulk import tool. You’ll also need to set issue properties to apply to the selected items.

Select what clashes to import to bimU.io Agile

Below is a step-by-step guide for you to get started.

Some Reminders

  • Install the latest version of bimU.io Launcher.
  • Navisworks Manage is required to export clash test results.
  • Use our Start Solibri tool to enable programmatic access.
  • BCF version 2.1 is preferred.
