We’re excited to announce some improvements on the bimU.io Agile platform! Your feedback is extremely important to help us offer you the best VDC experience in the Cloud. In the past few months, lots of feature requests have been received since bimU.io Agile was launched. We’ve been trying to listen to what our clients need and prioritise some of the features on our roadmap. There are some great new features made publicly available now for all of our users. Please read on to find out more.

Section Box Improvement
Occasionally, your project orientation may not be axis-aligned, especially when world coordinate system is used. Now you can either resize or rotate section box from the toggle buttons in the web viewer. 3D sectioning can then be viewed from any angle.

Issue Attachments
To share documents or screenshots with your project team, you can now attach any files to your issues. Multiple files can be attached to an issue. Simply drag and drop a file into the issue popup dialog. You can preview an image as well.

It’s also possible to add attachments while creating an issue!

Import Issues from BCF
Some clash detection software, such as Solibri Model Checker, can export issues to the BIM Collaboration Format (BCF). It is an open standard that allows different BIM applications to communicate model-based issues. We’ve developed an experimental feature that can bulk import issues from a BCF file to bimU.io Agile. It currently supports BCF version 2.0 or 2.1. You can find an option called “Import Issues” from the plus button on the top menu. In the near future, you’ll be able to import issues, comments, saved views, etc. directly from Navisworks, Solibri, etc. Stay tuned!
