Buzz. Excitement. Eagerness. And most of all — anticipation of what’s to come.

Google Meet sessions that were due to go hours have morphed into lengthier discussions to ensure that we are building an ecosystem capable of living up to the Transient brand (through the process we may have also become Miro and Trello VIPs).

These conversations were critically important as we focused on the assessment of the opportunity landscape, prototyping and at times even challenging each other about the true value of an idea or objective — asking ourselves, is it really moving us in the direction we strive for.

Given the number of ideas and concepts that were brought up, a number of core principles were created which would allow us to align our roadmap to strategic pillars, based on our vision, mission and objectives to give the world the Amazon of Smart Contracts.

Through this process the leadership team adopted three key pillars:

- Accessible by anyone, any time.

- Interoperability and scalability at the core.

- If you’re not moving forward, you’re moving backwards.

Our team have built and run delivery programs across several industries across the globe and are experts in executing technology and product roadmaps — this is why, at Transient we intend to go about things a little differently.

Based on our core pillars we have derived three specific distinct streams of delivery to ensure our focus is on today, tomorrow and beyond simultaneously — continuously building upon our core and putting ourselves in the position to leverage opportunity as it arises allowing true agility:

  • Accessible by anyone, any time.

Is the idea or concept going to get us closer or further away to truly providing an experience, where — whether you are a freelancer designer in Belgium coordinating your next engagement or a multi-billion dollar online bookmaker operating out of Ireland — that you have access to a dApp on Transient’s global marketplace.

Does the idea or concept provide a best-in-class experience in seamlessly onboarding the user to allow frictionless management of their Smart Contracts and does it represent the simplest path to their goal?

  • Interoperability and scalability at the core.

Does the idea or concept allow us to enable more specific use cases and impact a greater number of people by leveraging our existing and building new partnerships with a focus of delivering a superior on-chain, off-chain and cross-chain experience?

Does the idea or concept enable an ability to create an ecosystem that can service high-demand and scalability with ease and does it allow us to partner with industry leaders in a range of disciplines across the DeFi landscape?

If the answer to the above is no, then the idea is de-prioritised and replaced as it does not align to our strategic pillars and our overall objectives.

  • If you’re not moving forward, you’re moving backwards.

Innovation is key to driving the conversation of mass adoption and bringing to life use cases to the real world.

Constantly asking ourselves how we disrupt an experience or industry is paramount to striving for continuous improvement and the ability to add to our ever-growing global marketplace.

Innovation doesn’t happen by chance. This is why, at Transient, we carve out a specific stream to ensure we are always identifying and assessing the next highly valuable opportunity, working with partners to experiment and prototype how we can solve old problems with new and emerging technology and practices.
