To become an engineer is never a simple task. An engineer’s life is itself a struggle. A struggle to complete what they started and to achieve what they loved. For them, a simple idea can be a revolution, a mere thought can be a reality. They create this world from their imagination. Every aspect in human technological evolution had a mark of an engineer on it. Thus, every human being is a creator.

So what if you had an idea of creating something that could help the world? But you don’t have the backup, meaning you don’t have the money or contacts. Top international organizations like UNAI have been funding students on platforms like the Millennium fellowship. Here, we’ve tried to explore the various tools and platforms that are available for us to pursue our goals and dreams.

The Millennium Fellowship

Millennium fellowship is a semester long development program funded by United Nations Academic Impact. It helps you to achieve contacts necessary for your view of a better sustainable world. The Millennium Fellowship, which launched in 2013, is a 10 session, semester-long leadership accelerator convening student leaders across universities to improve their student organizations, partnerships, and community impact.

The Grace Hopper Scholarship

One of the most prestigious scholarships available is the Grace Hopper fellowship, awarded to women prodigies who are pursuing a 4 year undergraduate or graduate degree seeking university program, majoring in computer science or related fields, such as electrical, electronics, and others.

Sahu Jain Trust Loan scholarship

There are plenty of scholarships offered for academics as well. Sahu Jain Trust Loan scholarship is applicable to any student who wants to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate program which may range from 2500 to 25000 per annum. This scholarship can be taken at Educational Institutions in India.

The Siemens Scholarship Programme

Another notable scholarship is the Siemens Scholarship Programme for first year B.tech students at any government college from streams like Mechanical/Production, Electrical, Electronics/Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computers/Information Technology, Instrumentation. It is a CSR initiative by Siemens India. The objective of this scholarship is to support determined students having devotion and perseverance towards learning to achieve their personal and professional goals. The scholars after completing graduation can be placed in Siemens and leading companies in various sectors of engineering, banking, and finance, IT services, infrastructure, automotive, consumer goods.

The Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship helps you pursue your academic aspiration in any field. Engineering students will receive 36,000 per annum. Furthermore, Swami Dayanand Educational Foundation merit cum means scholarship aims at inspiring and transforming the lives of economically backward and academically brilliant students, where scholarships upto ₹50,000 per annum are offered. Nurturing Brilliance Cumins Scholarship Programme is a part of CSR initiative. Cumins India Foundation has also introduced scholarships for engineering students who are pursuing either a diploma or a degree course.
