On Networking

My favorite thing about the translators’ community on Twitter is that it’s mostly composed of wonderful people. I say mostly because statistically there’s got to be some not very pleasant translators, but I yet have to meet them.

If I had to give one piece of advice to someone starting out as a translator, it would be this: reach out to your colleagues right away.

They are the people who can give you advice and share their experience. You can bounce ideas off of them and do awesome things together. Don’t miss out on this part of your professional life!

Know someone who might find this post useful? Share it with them! And please don’t forget to press the pretty green heart, if you’ve enjoyed reading it.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
