John Lennon & Charlie Chaplin in a showcase at Miyanoshita, Japan

Took with Fujifilm Superia Premium 400 + Ricoh R1s

I watched quietly the photos of the Lennon family and Chaplin hanging in the glass window, and my mind interacted with amazing thoughts.

In the end, John Lennon was playing his white piano singing “Love” to match with the image Charlie Chaplin met the flower girl in the movie “City Lights”.

It seemed to me that’s a great soundtrack for their old photos.

It reminded me something else to stand in front of the showcase of Shima Photos studio which was opened in 1878.

It must be the happiest moment of Lennon, Yoko Ono & Sean.

85-year-old Yoko Ono must remember this scene.

And the little kid in the photo a.k.a. Taro Ono is a middle-aged man now who performed with his Godfather Elton John together a couple times.

There are many pictures in the showcase that hold happy smiles. We heard of some of them but others were only fading memories.

The reason why the old photo studio has become a time-honored attraction is that the images left by these artists have linked their works beyond time.

In the era of Social media, some people show off sports cars, mansions, yachts, some people show off jewelry, clothing or their beautiful bodies, and some people show off what they eat and drink.

Looking at the showcase of the old photo studio, you can realize something would really be remembered but others would not.

We took a long flight to Japan to stand in the door of the old photo studio in the early morning. And it took us a lot of time to Star at these old photos of John Lennon and Charlie Chaplin in a showcase.

And we didn’t want to leave there for a long time. It’s a kind of silly. But you cannot blame us as we’re only ordinary tourists.
