可愛的台鐵車站中，先扣掉因為海景、位置等非車站因素受喜愛的，再放下像勝興車站這種已經沒營運的，以下四個車站，推薦給所有鐵道迷，做為來台灣鐵道旅遊的參考。
In the lovely station of Taiwan Railway, first deducting the fact that the non-operating stations such as the sea view, location, etc. are favored, and getting rid of those that are no longer operating, such as Shengxing station, the following four stations are recommended for all rail-fans as the reference to Taiwan’s rail travel.
宜蘭車站 Yilan Station
大部分鐵道迷觀點，車站越維持原貌，越能保留更多鐵道味。
Most rail-fans point of view, maintaining the original appearance of the station, the railway can retain more style and features.
不過，宜蘭車站是台灣例外，經過地方政府與鐵路局合作，使用原籍宜蘭繪本作家幾米設計，把宜蘭車站跟車站前廣場打造成「幾米」風格的車站。
However, Yilan station is the only exception in Taiwan. After the cooperation between the local government and the railway bureau, the design of the Picture Book author and illustrator Jimmy who was born at Yilan was used to create a “Jimmy” style station at the Yilan station square.
以森林與長頸鹿為主題，結合原有車站結構，創造出的全新風格的車站，並沒有失去鐵道風味，還讓原本紅磚車站多了令人心曠神怡的綠意。
The theme of forests and giraffes, combined with the original station structure, created a new style of the station, and did not lose the railway flavor, but also make the original red brick station more delightful green.
車站前「幾米主題廣場」，的確增加了觀光拍照留念價值，至於彩繪車頭上寫著的「Starry Starry night」，既是幾米的作品《星空》主題，原來也是唐麥克林向畫家梵谷致敬的歌詞。
In front of the station, the “Jimmy Theme Square” did increase the value of general sightseeing and taking pictures. The “Starry Starry Night” written on the head of the train was not only the subject of Jimmy’s book “Starry Sky”, but also was lyrics from the song “Vincent” by Don McLean paying the tribute to the artist Van Gogh.
林鳳營車站 Linfengying Station
如以個人喜好程度排名，林鳳營車站本該排在推薦名單第一名，這座建於1933年的日式風格白色車站建築，已於2005年時依文化資產保存法，公告為受保護的歷史性建築。
If ranked by personal preference, Linfengying station should have been ranked first in the list of recommendations. This Japanese-style white station building built in 1933 was based on the preservation of cultural assets in 2005 and was announced as a protected historic construction.
但目前每天停靠的普通車班次不多，而且車站附近餐飲店或遊憩場所不多，雖然從車站望外看，站前有許多古樸的南台灣建築，但畢竟只能拍照發發思古幽情，觀光功能較薄弱。
But not much is currently docked ordinary train trips per day, and there’s almost no restaurants or recreation in this small place.

猴硐車站 Houtong Station
猴硐車站是台灣著名的「貓之城」入口，車站最令人愉悅特色，是車站人員依「貓之城」主題，從車站天橋到走道角落，佈置處處可見的貓圖樣。
Houtong Station is Taiwan’s famous “Cat Town” entrance, the station is the most pleasant feature, is the station staff according to the “Cat Town” theme, around the station, from the bridge to the corner of the walkway, the layout of the cat pattern can be seen everywhere.
菁桐車站 Jingtong Station
菁桐車站，是著名的平溪風景區門戶，鐵道路線平溪線近年因平溪天燈節而遠近馳名。
Jingtong Station is the gateway to the famous Pingxi Scenic Area. The railway line Pingxi Line is famous for its proximity to the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival in recent years.
對鐵道迷而言，一則以喜，一則以憂，喜的是：觀光人潮增，平溪線可望持續存在；憂的是：觀光人潮增，多了人群，少了鄉間鐵路味。
For rail-fans, it should be happy for tourist increased to keep Pingxi Line alive. And it also should be worry that too many tourists might take all charms of the country railroad away.
