Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Knightsbridge, London

This is the second time my family and I visited this wonderful hotel in London. Once again it was so we could show our young son the beautiful lights, as the festive season begins. For London this hotel offers excellent value. In a club room we are are spoilt for choice when it comes to breakfast. Either take it in the Club lounge or make your way down to the restaurant and try the continental or Asian style cuisines. What is disappointing, is the fact the waiting staff could not tell me if I needed to pay extra for poached eggs or certain foods and the coffee was definitely the taste of a poor machine.

More of an all-inclusive style coffee machine rather than the good old Nespresso. This is a small issue, though, for a hotel that provides a good sized club room, complimentary Times and FT on a daily basis and, free of charge dry cleaning for up to three items for your stay. The rooms are comfy and spacious, if not a bit on the cool side if you are on the quiet side of the hotel. After a hard day shopping you can head off to the club room and help yourself to some snacks and free drinks between 5 & 7 pm. De Silva on reception was polite and courteous. He even managed to get us in the same room two years in a row. A highly recommended hotel and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
