If you saw this lady, what would you think she’s selling? These ladies ride on electric carts all over the place. If you think you’re going to get an ice cream or popsicle, think again. They are mobile cosmetics dealers! Think Avon on a golf cart. And, cosmetics stores rival coffee bars in abundance all over Seoul: at least 4–5 per block. I saw a young woman today in the subway WITHOUT makeup and I did a double-take. Young Asian women are stunning — with a little (or a lot) of help! Going out without makeup is a lot like going out naked, apparently. Wouldn’t want that . . .
